While we have an international clientele at Clear Coast Solutions, we are always very happy to help up and coming businesses in our local area in the mountains of Andalucía. One such business is El Epicúreo, bakery with a growing reputation in the village next door.
Understanding the Vision
El Epicúreo is a charming artisan bakery nestled in the village of Cómpeta, Málaga. While their products tell a rich story of flavour and craftsmanship, their digital presence wasn’t quite doing them justice. They needed a website that reflected the heart of the brand, support in showcasing the products visually. They also needed a plan to grow content, eventually reaching across multiple languages.
Expanding the El Epicúreo Digital Presence
When we arrived, Virginie, already had the foundations of a beautiful brand. With artisanal baked goods, a clear visual identity, and a loyal local following. She supplied her creations to boutique accommodations around Cómpeta, where her breads and pastries were featured in welcome packs for lucky visitors. But as her reputation grew, so did the need for something more official. Her partners wanted to showcase her as part of their offering. But her problem was that without a website, she felt that she didn’t fully exist. In today’s digital world, word of mouth only goes so far… she wanted a home online.
The problem? Virginie didn’t have the time or tech confidence to build a website herself. This is where we can always help! Like many hands-on small business owners, she was doing what she loved. Juggling everything from sourcing ingredients to shaping sourdough, and creating glorious treats left little time for anything else. Staring down a blank website felt overwhelming (“Computers hate me,” she joked — and honestly, we get it.) The idea of creating something that truly reflected her vision felt daunting, but it was also something she really wanted to mark the first anniversary of her business.

The goal was never just to build a website and walk away. Virginie wanted something that could evolve as her business did. A space where she could share her story, seasonal specials, and reflections on local sourcing through a blog. With new products and ideas always on the horizon, the website needed to grow alongside her. What we have built together isn’t just a site, it’s a springboard for everything that comes next.
Designing a Bespoke Website
We designed and developed a bespoke website that captures the artisanal charm of El Epicureo while keeping things sleek and modern.
The colour palette was a carefully considered blend, a clean black-and-white foundation that reflects simplicity and elegance, paired with warm tones inspired by the golden crusts of their breads and the richness of their pastries. The result? A website that feels both minimal and mouth-watering.
We collaborated closely with Virginie at every stage, making sure the visual language and structure mirrored her personal vision. From typography choices to subtle layout decisions, everything was built to feel handcrafted… just like her food.

Visual Coaching & Studio Setup

Good visuals sell good food, but great visuals make people remember it. We helped Virginie create a mini photography studio, designed specifically for the space, lighting, and general needs. We coached her on simple photography techniques, lighting setups, and workflows that allow her to produce consistently high-quality shots of her products without needing to hire outside help.
We also began building a visual portfolio: a growing gallery that shows off their creations in all their glory, not just product photos, but moments, textures, and the soul of what they make.
This visual identity now extends across the website, social media, and future printed materials.
Content Strategy Support
While Virginie is hands-on with her brand, we stepped in to support the storytelling side. We have advised on how to begin building a blog that doesn’t just push products, but shares the passion, inspiration, and techniques behind them.
On top of this, we have discussed ways to incorporate short-form video content to give customers a behind-the-scenes glimpse, turning casual visitors into loyal fans.
The goal isn’t just to “have a blog”, it’s to create a narrative engine. Something personal, useful, and deeply connected to the values of the brand.
Multilingual Planning
Given the international appeal of El Epicureo’s products — especially to the local English-speaking community and visiting tourists — we advised and began planning the launch of a English-language version of the website. The aim: to keep the message and tone consistent while opening the door to a wider audience.
By laying the groundwork for multilingual support, we’re helping El Epicureo grow beyond its Spanish roots while staying true to its local heart.
